We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Works Manager to join our team at Galldris Group.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for managing a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring the safe and efficient execution of site works, and maintaining a strong focus on health and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Site Management: Oversee the management of site works, ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation, client procedures, and approved RAMS.
- Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to a multi-disciplinary team, including foremen, general foremen, and laborers.
- Resource Management: Manage resource levels, reconcile resources against the cost plan, and input into monthly resource forecasts.
- Quality Control: Ensure the implementation of quality control measures, including daily checks and records.
- Health and Safety: Promote and implement zero-harm initiatives, ensure site inductions, daily briefings, and tool box talks are carried out to a high standard.
- Logistics and Procurement: Oversee site setup and mobilization, input into site logistics plans, and manage the procurement of materials.
- Reporting and Compliance: Provide reports and investigations as required, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Experience: Proven experience in civil engineering works within a regulated environment, such as the rail, highways, or water sector.
- Qualifications: Valid SMSTS, CSCS Card, and a current driving license.
- Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to think and act decisively.
