Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and efficient Despatch Operative to join our Retail Despatch Department, assisting in the smooth running of day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and unload goods from delivery vehicles

• Accurately scan products into and out of production using warehouse management systems

• Implement correct stock rotation procedures to maintain optimal inventory levels

• Conduct regular yield checks at the end of production, investigating any discrepancies

• Ensure accurate stacking and storage of products within chillers

• Participate in regular stocktake activities

• Select and package orders for distribution

• Load containers for transportation

• Maintain accurate records and perform administrative tasks associated with despatch operations

Essential Qualifications:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong focus on customer service

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team, while maintaining independence and initiative

• Strong problem-solving skills, with a flexible approach to meeting changing priorities

The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. A background in the food industry is highly desirable.
