About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Assembler to join our team at GPS Ltd in Bristol. Your primary responsibility will be fitting and wiring sub-assemblies and further installation into various enclosures, including drilling, tapping, and other assembly tasks.

The ideal candidate will possess demonstrable experience in wiring control panels and/or assemblies, with a strong understanding of equipment assembly, component, and cable wiring skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Wiring components to schematic drawings
  • Completing work to a high standard
  • Fitting mounting rails, idents, trunking, and components to metal backplates
  • Fitting wired assemblies within boxes and large enclosures
  • Torque setting screws and bolts using calibrated equipment
  • Installing copper busbar systems
  • Completing relevant documentation, including quality checks
Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience wiring control panels and/or assemblies
  • Possess equipment assembly, component, and cable wiring skills
  • Be capable of panel preparation (hole cutting, component mounting, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Skilled in the use of hand tools (screwdrivers, spanners, ratchets, etc.)
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Driving License
