Key Responsibilities:
  • Load Forecasting: Utilize advanced forecasting techniques to predict load profiles on constrained parts of the distribution network, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to the development of new methodologies.
  • Industry Representation: Represent SSE Enterprise at industry forums and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive innovation and best practices in the field of power system optimization.
  • Modelling: Model the distribution network using advanced software tools to identify areas of exceedance and plan for future growth, ensuring the optimal scheduling of flexibility services.
  • Schedule and Reporting: Schedule flexibility service providers to deliver required services, detailing requirements in line with standard agreements and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Curtailable Connection Dispatch Optimization: Manage curtailable connections to minimize curtailment experienced by customers, ensuring optimal dispatch and reducing the impact on the network.
