We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to join our Intensive Rehabilitation Service (IRS) as a Bed Assessor. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Job OverviewThe successful candidate will be responsible for assessing patients accepted into Meadow Court inpatient rehabilitation beds, ensuring that they receive the necessary care and support to achieve optimal outcomes. This will involve working closely with the bed management team, acute partner hospitals, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless patient transfers and efficient bed management.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe main responsibilities of this role include:
- Prioritizing workload, delegating, and supervising more junior staff to ensure high standards of patient care.
- Coordinating patient flows in and out of hospital, maintaining the highest clinical standards.
- Supporting wards in ensuring that they have an effective system in place to capture real-time bed states, admissions, discharges, and predicted discharges.
- Having a wide range of knowledge in approaches to communicating and managing patient care.
- Ensuring junior staff are actively supported to achieve their learning needs, as discussed in appraisals and regular supervision sessions.
- Ability to travel effectively to acute hospitals to complete face-to-face assessments when necessary.
