Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Staffline Express. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for our clients in the power system protection industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical systems for customer orders, working closely with project teams to ensure timely and economical solutions.
  • Collaborate with lead design engineers and other mechanical/electrical engineers to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Participate in internal and external meetings, including project kick-offs and reviews, to ensure project success.
  • Conduct site surveys at customer sites, adhering to health and safety rules, to gather information and ensure project requirements are met.
  • Maintain or improve project budgets by utilizing standard parts and designs, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
  • Engage in technical dialogue with clients, managing project queries and actioning drawing submissions, to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Identify and inform the project coordinator of additional technical scope (materials and labor) during the contract, ensuring project requirements are met.
  • Interface with the factory to address manufacturing and test queries during the project build, ensuring smooth project execution.
Requirements
  • Proficient in producing electrical drawings, with a strong understanding of electrical systems and design principles.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, project teams, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to work to deadlines, with strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong motivator and team player, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Attention to detail, with a strong understanding of electrical safety protocols and procedures.

  • ONC level in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, with a strong understanding of electrical systems and design principles.
