We are currently seeking a highly skilled General Practitioner, Military Medical Examiner to join our team and contribute to the safe and effective delivery of medical assessments for new recruits to the Royal Navy.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills, with experience working in an occupational medicine setting. They will be responsible for reviewing primary care notes and optician reports to determine any potential health risks or conditions that may impact a candidate's ability to safely carry out their role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct medical assessments on behalf of the Ministry of Defence (MoD)
  • Review primary care notes and optician reports
  • Perform face-to-face medical examinations
  • Determine a candidate's fitness for service

Requirements:

  • Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (UK) / Post CCT
  • Full Registration with the GMC and record of Continuous Professional Development
  • Good organisational and communication skills
