We are seeking a Taxation and Compliance Manager to join our in-house tax function. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing all areas of the Group's tax accounting, including corporation and deferred taxation charges and all balance sheet tax accounts.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of post-qualified experience working in an in-house tax team of a global group covering direct and indirect taxes. You will have experience of designing and implementing tax policies, processes, and systems, as well as working in a fast-paced environment.

The estimated salary for this role is £80,000 - £100,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all areas of the Group's tax accounting, including corporation and deferred taxation charges and all balance sheet tax accounts;
  • Prepare the tax figures for the year end Group and UK subsidiary statutory accounts and liaise with the Group's auditors regarding all aspects of those figures;
  • Work with the Group finance team in preparation of the tax figures for budgets and all reforecast exercises;
  • Build processes and develop systems to bring the preparation of the quarterly UK VAT return in-house;
  • Ensure there are appropriate processes in place to ensure all non-UK VAT and sales tax returns are filed on time with in-house or via outsource providers.

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant or tax advisor;
  • At least 5 years of post-qualified experience working in an in-house tax team of a global group covering direct and indirect taxes;
  • Experience of designing and implementing tax policies, processes, and systems;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
