About The Role

Morrison Water Services is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the Mains Renewals team on our Thames Water AMP7/8 Framework in the London Area.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building and leading the team, managing subcontractors, and administering the Principal Contract.

Key Responsibilities

  • Effective procurement and management of subcontractors
  • Managing and mentoring Quantity Surveyors and Assistants
  • Administering the Principal Contract
  • Managing change through the Early Warning and Variation processes
  • Value and margin maximisation
  • Producing or supporting the production of CVRs, applications for payment, and Cost Forecasts
  • Closely monitoring staff, material, plant, and other resources on site
  • Analysing spending trends and strategising from the resulting data
  • Seeking out opportunities and challenging practices, planning, and approaches where cost savings are identified

Requirements

  • BSc in Quantity Surveying or similar qualification
  • Experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or similar level within a civil engineering or utilities contractor
  • Commercial astuteness
