Job Overview

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading engineering company that champions British manufacturing. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing safe, correct, and efficient preventative and routine maintenance of NDT equipment and machinery.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnostics of faults and issues of NDT equipment, machinery, and systems
  • Repair of equipment, machinery (electrical & mechanical) and systems
  • Correctly disassemble, inspect, clean, replace and re-assemble mechanical assemblies
  • Installation of electro-mechanical systems in accordance with safety standards and regulations
  • Electro-mechanical system testing and commissioning
  • Software uploading, downloading, taking data back-ups
  • Fault-finding connectivity issues and configuring connectivity devices/equipment
Requirements
  • A Level 3 Engineering or Technical qualification
  • Experience working with NDT or radiography equipment would be highly advantageous although not essential
  • Ability to apply technical knowledge to solve engineering problems
  • Experience of installing equipment i.e. marking-off, drilling and mounting equipment to walls/rooms/enclosures
  • Experience of pulling cables, terminating cables and wiring devices/components
  • Experience stripping down, cleaning and reassembling mechanical assemblies
  • Experienced with industrial software packages and connectivity devices
  • Ability to fault-find and diagnose to a device/PCB – board swapping
  • IT literate with email and MS suite such as Word and Excel
  • Appropriate engineering/electrical experience and training such as an apprenticeship
  • Full manual UK driving licence
