About the Role

Meliá Hotels International is seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our facilities department, you will be responsible for ensuring the hotel's interior and exterior meet high standards of maintenance and upkeep.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrics, and equipment checks.
  • Conduct room audits and maintain accurate records.
  • Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained and cleaned.
  • Proactively identify and resolve maintenance issues to maintain the hotel's appearance.
  • Stay up-to-date on company health and safety, fire safety, and emergency procedures.
  • Assist with pre-planned maintenance tasks as instructed by the line manager.
  • Attend departmental meetings, briefings, and training sessions as required.

Requirements

  • Qualification in a maintenance trade and previous experience in hotel maintenance.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Proactive and positive personality.
  • Flexibility to respond quickly to customer and hotel needs.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and support colleagues and other departments.
