Job Title: Conversion / Slitting Operator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Conversion / Slitting Operator to join our team at Saica Group. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating conversion machines to slit, punch, and trim a wide variety of film according to product type and job specification.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Operate conversion machines to produce high-quality film products
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures
  • Follow company specifications and standard operating procedures
  • Monitor machine performance and report any maintenance concerns or repairs
  • Engage with colleagues to ensure smooth transitions between shifts
  • Complete production paperwork accurately and on time
  • Provide overtime cover for colleagues as needed

Requirements:

  • Reliable, motivated, and enthusiastic about producing high-quality products
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and meet demanding deadlines
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to learn new skills and adapt to changing situations
  • High level of attention to detail and personal accountability
  • Relevant experience in a manufacturing role and maths and English GCSE at a minimum grade of 4 or equivalent
