E.ON's UK Energy Infrastructure Solutions business is looking for a Power Distribution Trainee to join their Lighting & Grid team. As a Power Distribution Trainee, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing electrical infrastructure.

About the Role

This apprenticeship involves gaining technical skills such as plant operation and live electrical connections to the underground power distribution network. You will spend most of your time out and about from your local depot, learning about all technical aspects of Lighting & Grid.

You will also attend block release training programs to gain your formal qualifications, which include Level 2 Certificate in Electrical Power Engineering – Distribution & Transmission, Level 2 & 3 NVQ Certificates Highways Electrician & Service Operative, Installation & Maintenance, and Power Distribution Engineering Cable Jointing qualifications.

Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs grades A-C / 9-4 (or equivalent) including Maths, English Language and Science
  • A real interest in engineering shown by your relevant work placements, studies, hobbies or projects
  • A passion for safety and PPE requirements
  • Team-oriented with the confidence to work independently when required
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is around £30,000 per year, based on industry standards.
