Project Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at Kier Group. As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering projects within the water sector, focusing on capital delivery and asset management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the operational/project delivery manager in delivering project needs
  • Assess solutions and complete root cause analysis, considering whole life cost and business risk reduction
  • Develop solutions in line with corporate governance processes, technical/safety standards, and legal requirements
  • Ensure all enabling activities, including design, programme, cost, and CDM requirements, are completed ready for construction handover
  • Complete and comply with all operational site Health & Safety, Environmental, Quality requirements to ensure safe working practices
  • Support the capture of assets and cost in the relevant corporate systems
Requirements:
  • Engineering degree or equivalent, along with APM Project Management (PMQ) or PRINCE2
  • Experience in capital delivery within the water sector, with a focus on directly employed staff delivering projects
  • Management of the Construction Design Management (CDM) regulations
  • Commercial awareness, working with multiple stakeholders, and excellent knowledge and experience in customer management as well as external stakeholders
  • Full driving licence
  • Preferably NEBOSH or NEBOSH Construction
