Telecoms Installation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Telecoms Installation Specialist to join our team in South Wales. As a key member of our installation crew, you will be responsible for installing fibre services in customer premises, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for our customers.

• Install fibre services in customer business and residential premises, ensuring a high-quality installation and a positive customer experience.
• Conduct daily checks of vehicles, tools, equipment, and PPE prior to leaving the depot, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
• Provide customer education on the use of fibre services, including WiFi and broadband devices, to ensure customers understand and can effectively use their new services.
• Perform job-specific risk assessments and method statements, reporting and documenting any health and safety incidents or near misses.
• Undertake underground and overhead installations, including small civils works, to ensure a high-quality installation and a positive customer experience.
• Ensure first-time fix of customer connections, ensuring customers have service at the time of leaving their premises.

• Experience in fibre installation, including FTTP installation, with a strong understanding of fibre technology and network infrastructure.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers and colleagues.
• Proactive attitude in resolving engineering obstacles, with a strong focus on health and safety and compliance with company procedures.
• Flexibility to work outside core hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet customer needs.
• Awareness of BT Openreach network and PIA, with a strong understanding of network build and infrastructure.
• Certifications in NRSWA, N28, and IPAF, with a strong focus on safety and compliance.
