Job Overview:
The Senior Activity Coordinator Lead will oversee the planning, development, and implementation of all aspects of school-age and day camp programs at the YMCA of Greater Dayton. This role requires a strong background in early childhood education and the ability to lead a team of staff members.

About the Job:
This is a full-time, non-exempt position with an estimated salary of $48,000-$54,000 per year, based on experience. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience working with children, demonstrating the ability to motivate and supervise staff. Planning and program development skills are helpful, as well as the ability to obtain a Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) or equivalent.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement program curriculum and activities
  • Supervise staff to ensure proper completion of tasks and maintain a clean and sanitary environment
  • Maintain accurate records for child care programs, facility, and staff
  • Communicate effectively with Child Care/Program Director and other stakeholders

Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and possess high school diploma or GED
  • Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education from an accredited college or university required
  • CPR/AED, First Aid, and Oxygen certification required within first 60 days of employment
  • Valid driver's license, insurable driver's record, and reliable transportation required
