At Resourcing Group, we are seeking an experienced Strategic Procurement Manager to lead our purchasing team for a 12-month period. This role involves coordinating the procurement function and related activities.

The ideal candidate will have commercial negotiation and international supply chain experience, as well as understanding of manufacturing production and processes. They must also possess leadership skills, task prioritization abilities, attention to detail, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

In this position, you will support the development and delivery of the procurement function, monitor and forecast inventory, determine purchasing needs, and identify costs. You will also ensure smooth operations through collaboration with internal departments and maintain strong supplier relationships.

To be successful in this role, you will need to implement key performance metrics and reports for key stakeholders, assist in commercial negotiations with suppliers, and monitor suppliers’ performance and competitiveness through relevant KPIs. Additionally, you will expedite orders, maintain up-to-date delivery requirements, identify cost-saving opportunities, and oversee daily activities of the purchasing department.

We offer a competitive salary of £60,000 per annum, plus benefits including 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 9-5, office-based work, 23 days holiday, pension contribution matched up to 8%, life assurance 3x base salary, private health scheme, and company sharesave scheme.
