About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our team at Empowering Learning. As an SEMH Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in implementing work programmes for individuals and groups outside the conventional classroom environment.

Your primary responsibility will be to provide essential support to students requiring emotional nurture, helping them to develop both academically and personally. You will lead activities that facilitate students' physical, emotional, and educational development in a safe and structured environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish positive relationships with students, acting as a role model and setting high expectations.
  • Plan and deliver targeted SEMH interventions and promote self-esteem and personal achievement.
  • Identify and set targets for students with identified SEMH needs, including those requiring emotional support.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective support system.
