Their projects span a wide range of properties, from primary schools to office complexes.

A dedicated team committed to excellence, innovation, and sustainability is seeking a BMS Commissioning Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Commission BMS systems, ensuring proper installation, calibration, and functionality according to design specifications and operational requirements.
  • Develop and adjust control algorithms and parameters within the BMS to meet energy optimisation goals.
  • Carry out detailed testing, including factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), and functional performance tests.
  • Analyse system performance and identify opportunities for energy savings.
  • Integrate the BMS with other building systems such as HVAC, lighting, and access control.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose hardware, software, and communication issues related to BMS systems.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation.
  • Liaise with clients to explain system functionality and provide technical support.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and health and safety regulations.

Estimated Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum

Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in BMS commissioning and energy management.
  • Proficiency with major BMS platforms.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems and control strategies.
  • Experience with energy monitoring, data analysis, and reporting for optimising building performance.
  • Knowledge of communication protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, and LonWorks.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and a focus on energy efficiency.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • CSCS card required, other relevant industry certifications desirable.
