Job Description

Job Title: Senior Payroll Administrator

Location: Wokingham - Hybrid

Contract: Permanent

We are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Administrator to join our team at JGA Recruitment Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all clients' payrolls are processed accurately and in a timely manner, and will assist senior members of the department with all aspects of payroll.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute accurate and timely end-to-end payroll processing for multiple clients, including tasks such as handling new hires and terminations
  • Manage the auto-enrolment process for pensions, handling both opt-ins and opt-outs across various pension schemes
  • Communicate with clients to collect necessary data for payroll preparation
  • Ensure all payrolls are processed within the specified turnaround times
  • Address and resolve payroll queries from clients
  • Ensure all starters, leavers, benefits and allowances information is entered on to the Payroll database and update the relevant spreadsheet to record all entries made
  • Recognize the importance of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and adhere to responsibilities within the Payroll Services Department
  • Remain up to date with UK payroll legislation and compliance requirements, ensuring all processes adhere to the relevant regulations

Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge of UK payroll and pension legislation
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of tasks and ensure high-quality completion
  • Have a knowledge of changes to legislation which effect payroll
  • Have a working knowledge of MS Office
