As a Network Field Operations Engineer, you will be a technically skilled individual starting your journey to become a Field and Datacentre Operations engineering professional within Sky. You will be part of the Network Field Ops department, following a comprehensive training program throughout your journey.

Our training program includes formal and informal training to gain essential network skills and experience. You will also receive salary increases per annum if you successfully complete the training structure each year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will be part of a team responsible for the physical implementation and first-line maintenance of Sky's core IP and transmission networks, which supports Sky products including Broadband, Talk, Mobile, Corporate, and Wholesale services.
  • You will cover the day-to-day operations and maintenance within the Sky POP and Datacentre environments, ensuring all support functions are performed to Sky's exemplary standards.
  • You will be responsible for the physical implementation and preventative maintenance within the Sky LLU Estate, situated in Openreach telephone exchanges.
  • You will also be responsible for the restoration of network faults across the Sky network, meeting defined SLAs.

Requirements:

  • You will need a full UK driving license.
  • You will have a great aptitude for innovation and forward thinking.

  • You will have a great attitude and determination to learn.
  • You will have positive energy and enthusiasm.
  • You will have exceptional organisational skills.
  • You will have proven experience within the Telecom / ISP industry.
  • You will have experience in the installation of copper (Cat5e, Cat6) and fibre optic structured data cabling.
