About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Production Equipment Specialist to join our team at Axéréal. This is a key role within our organization, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing all production equipment to ensure effective and safe operation, minimizing downtime. Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing corrective and preventive mechanical maintenance
  • Repairing production and processing equipment as well as utility-related equipment
  • Supporting the installation of new equipment
  • Ensuring all repairs are documented
  • Maintaining a clean, orderly, and neat work area
  • Completing all paperwork neatly and correctly
  • Participating in the BOPEX (continuous improvement) program
  • Complying with all procedures, regulations, and policies applicable
  • Stopping and reporting unsafe operations and using mandatory PPE as defined
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or technical qualification, or equivalent by experience
  • Excellent mechanical knowledge
  • Awareness of HACCP, food hygiene, and safety requirements
  • Fluency in English
  • Computer skills
  • Experience working in repair and maintenance of machinery in a food or drink manufacturing environment
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working in a team
