Customer Service Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Service Specialist to join our team at Arnold Clark in Blackpool.
As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences and ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of service and repair for their vehicles.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and customer-focused individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for handling all customer requirements for service and vehicle repairs, liaising with our workshop and bodyshop teams to progress work through the system, and controlling all computer-based jobs, purchasing, and invoice processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Handling customer inquiries and resolving any issues efficiently and professionally.
- Liaising with the workshop and bodyshop teams to ensure seamless communication and efficient workflow.
- Controlling all computer-based jobs, purchasing, and invoice processes to ensure financial interests are protected.
- Providing clear and accurate solutions to customers regarding any faults or repairs found on their vehicles.
- Treating dissatisfied customers with empathy and understanding, reassuring them that we can solve any issues.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer records, including vehicle details and service histories.
- Maintaining knowledge of aftersales products and services, upselling where appropriate.
- Ensuring the customer database is updated and accurate at all times.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and resolving issues efficiently.
- Demonstrable computer literacy and knowledge of IT systems and applications.
- The ability to multitask and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and influencing skills to explain complex information accurately and concisely.
- Strong organisational skills to schedule work effectively and balance customer needs with workshop capacity.
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
- Ability and willingness to work with defined processes and guidelines.
- Good core administration skills to capture customer details accurately.
- A full UK driving licence.

Location and Salary
Full-time position, Monday to Friday 8am-5:30pm, rotational Saturdays, based in Blackpool. We offer a competitive salary in line with industry standards, estimated around £25,000-£28,000 per annum, depending on experience.
