About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Tester to join our dynamic Engineering Team at Skipton Building Society. As a Senior Software Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our software delivery, working collaboratively with other members of the wider Engineering team to deliver a variety of projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and document automated and manual test plans and procedures, execute tests, analyse results, and report on test anomalies.
  • Perform software testing in all phases of the software development lifecycle, with a focus on API testing.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies, including frameworks such as Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) and/or Test-Driven Development (TDD).
  • Design and implement automated testing processes to reduce workload and increase the efficiency and reliability of QA processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and delivery of high-quality software.

Requirements

  • Strong technical aptitude and experience in software testing, with a focus on API testing.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders.
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies, including frameworks such as BDD and TDD.
  • Knowledge of Java/C# languages and code design patterns.
  • ISTQB Foundation certification.

Desirable Experience/Qualifications

  • Azure Fundamentals AZ900 certification.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps.
  • DevSecOps principles.
