Job Title: Electromyography Assistant

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Electromyography Assistant to join our team at Kootenay Lake Regional Hospital in Nelson, BC. This is a permanent part-time position that requires a commitment to delivering excellent patient care and supporting our clinical team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with EMG testing under the supervision of a physician, ensuring accurate and timely results.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff to provide exceptional care.
• Perform related clerical duties such as answering phones, filing, and booking appointments.
• Maintain equipment and supplies, reporting any issues to the Professional Practice Leader.
• Contribute to continuous quality improvement activities, providing feedback and suggestions for process improvement.
• Participate in orienting new staff, demonstrating work procedures and equipment usage.
• Report and document any unusual occurrences, adhering to established procedures.
• Engage in safety in-service programs and maintain a safe environment for patients, families, and staff.
