Information Governance Compliance Manager

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Information Governance Compliance Manager to join our team at Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing compliance with the Information Governance and Data Protection agenda across the North London Mental Health Partnership.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement compliance with the Information Governance Framework, incorporating Data Protection, Confidentiality, and Information and Cyber Security.
- Manage and coordinate medical records and information requests, and provide leadership in the appropriate management of Subject Access Requests and Freedom of Information requests.
- Ensure compliance with current Data Protection legislation and NHS Caldicott Principles.
- Implement the Freedom of Information Act 2000, Environmental Information Regulations 2004, Access to Health Records Act, and associated codes of practice.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of compliance and audit activities.
Requirements
- Master's level degree or equivalent proven experience in Information Governance.
- Industry recognised and accredited training/qualification in Information Security Management and/or Data Protection.
- Experience of records management and archiving, preferably within the NHS.
- Expert knowledge, understanding, and application of the NHS Data Security and Protection Toolkit.
- Proven experience of line managing staff.
