Field Operations Specialist

We have an exciting opportunity for a Field Operations Specialist to join our team at Crossness STW, where you will play a crucial role in investigating complex operational problems, making informed financial decisions within the wastewater network, and identifying proactive solutions to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, including health and safety and street works legislation.
  • Make technical decisions on work being carried out, focusing on network and customer impact while controlling costs effectively.
  • Provide technical support to the Area Network Manager and serve as the key point of contact between control and field teams for coordinating operational resources during unplanned work and operational events.
  • Share information with integrated planning on required network maintenance, technical support, and improvement to ensure a robust, stable, and efficient network.
  • Collaborate with field teams and customer management to determine the cause of complex/difficult flow and pressure issues.
  • Offer insights on required maintenance and improvement to the Performance, Risk, and Optimisation Team, and assist with contingency planning.
  • Take ownership of customer issues, responding to queries and complaints, and resolving them promptly.
  • Contribute to the business unit achieving its financial targets.

Working Arrangements: Hybrid, working from various sites in the south London area depending on your location. 38 hours per week, Monday-Friday.

Requirements:
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills to maintain and enhance our high-quality customer experience.
  • Possess knowledge of wastewater network systems (desirable).
  • Show good business/stakeholder awareness, cost management experience, and an innovative approach to problem-solving, along with strong team working and influencing skills.
  • Hold a full UK driving license, with a willingness to travel across the south London region and assist other areas as needed.

Benefits: Salary up to £45,000 per annum, car allowance, fuel allowance, annual leave, contributory pension, personal medical assessments, and wider benefits scheme.
