Lead Mechanical Design and Analysis Engineer

Orion Electrotech is seeking a highly skilled Lead Mechanical Design and Analysis Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for leading mechanical design projects from concept to completion, developing and executing project plans, and mentoring junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage mechanical design projects, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality designs.
- Develop and execute detailed project plans, incorporating the latest advancements in avionics and mechanical design.
- Mentor and guide a small team of mechanical design engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Conduct thorough feasibility studies, simulations, and analyses to validate design concepts.
- Create comprehensive technical drawings, specifications, and documentation using advanced CAD software.
- Oversee the prototyping, testing, and iteration processes, ensuring designs meet stringent performance and safety standards.
- Facilitate design reviews and provide strategic input on design enhancements and new technologies.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Extensive experience in mechanical design, particularly within the avionics industry.
- Proven track record of leading design projects from initial concept through to final delivery.
- Strong proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
- Excellent understanding of engineering principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes relevant to avionics.
