About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Manager to join our team at Hanslope Park, working for the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO). As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for optimising the effectiveness of service delivery and the day-to-day operation of our site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply governance to service delivery, leading on hard services and having line-management responsibilities for soft services.
  • Ensure compliance with financial accountability, public sector expenditure, Health and Safety policies, and operational obligations.
  • Achieve continuous performance improvements and build positive relationships with our customers and service providers.
  • Support the delivery of a project portfolio to prioritise investment, monitor the quality of delivery with service providers against agreed KPIs, and maintain operational, financial, and Health and Safety governance.
  • Have a good understanding of budgetary allocation, spending, and financial reporting, including revenue (RDEL) vs capital (CDEL).
  • Practical knowledge of statutory compliance requirements in relation to facilities management and UK legislation is essential.
  • Operate an estate and maintain a secure environment, with an understanding of the principles of project and contract management for service delivery under a New Engineering Contract form.
  • Strong understanding of UK Health and Safety regulatory requirements as they apply to the built environment and an operational estate.

Requirements:

  • Well-developed experience of operating an estate and maintaining a secure environment.
  • Practical knowledge of statutory compliance requirements in relation to facilities management and UK legislation.
  • Strong understanding of UK Health and Safety regulatory requirements as they apply to the built environment and an operational estate.
  • Good understanding of budgetary allocation, spending, and financial reporting, including revenue (RDEL) vs capital (CDEL).
