Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Systems Analyst to join our team at ArcelorMittal SA. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining MES solutions to ensure maximum service levels to related production units and other departments.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Adhere to safety procedures and participate in safety initiatives.
  2. Design and develop MES solutions according to functional and technical specifications.
  3. Manage the operation of MES Systems to ensure maximum service levels.
  4. Obtain knowledge of plant processes and/or business processes.
  5. Participate in forums or working groups as required.
  6. Apply corporate and departmental standards in the choice of tools and methods.
  7. Deliver high-quality software within allocated time and with minimum rework.
  8. Maintain a detailed understanding of current best practices and trends in software development.
  9. Provide callout service including scheduled 24/7 standby.
  10. Resolve changes and incidents.
  11. Attend applicable information management, project-related, and other meetings.
  12. Create documentation such as design documentation and training manuals.
  13. Troubleshoot, monitor, and report status.
  14. Estimate and plan own tasks.
Requirements
  • National Diploma in Computer Science / Information Technology, Information Science.
Experience and Skills

Minimum 18 months experience in software technologies/skills:

  • .NET development (VB.NET, ASP.NET, or .NET CORE)
  • Visual Studio
  • Web development (HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, Entity framework, Blazor)
  • Maintain database objects via Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio and/or SQL Developer
  • Developing within a Microsoft SQL database (T/SQL)
  • Developing within an Oracle database (PL/SQL)
  • Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services
  • Business Objects
  • GIT Repository management
  • Unix and the Windows family of operating systems

Experience in business analysis, system/solutions analysis, and full system development life cycle.

Understanding business processes relating to order management, planning and scheduling, production, stock management, costing, financial and logistical systems for a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience in supporting and a working knowledge of the above environments.
  • Understanding the essentials of system integration and inter-system communication.
  • Exposure to agile system development and project management processes.
  • Knowledge of ITIL related to systems and processes.
  • Ability to understand a business process from a workflow diagram and to conceptualize it as an automated solution.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical IT documents.
  • Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively.
  • Exposure to project management responsibilities.
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office range of products.
  • Exposure/experience in improvising and modernizing existing tool sets and systems.
