Job Advertisement: Senior Engineer (UK Residential Sector)

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer with substantial experience in the UK residential sector to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience and be able to mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a collaborative working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the technical and commercial aspects of project work, ensuring successful completion.
  • Provide guidance and delegate tasks to junior engineers and technicians, helping to develop their skills.
  • Undertake complex engineering analysis and design calculations.
  • Check the work of other engineers and technicians to maintain high standards.
  • Implement business management systems and assist in preparing fee bids.
  • Oversee projects, including invoicing and resource management.
  • Assist in the training, appraisal, and management of technical staff.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients and provide advice on complex engineering matters during meetings and inspections.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the UK residential sector, with experience in a consulting environment highly desirable.
  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer Member of IStructE, ICE, or another relevant institution.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and commercial awareness. Proven ability in engineering design and reporting.
