Job Description

Shape the Future of Our Cities and Environments

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director to lead our coastal engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our cities and environments.

Your Purpose:

  • Own and direct teams undertaking technical design work following relevant design standards and codes.
  • Define briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals.
  • Successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes.
  • Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
  • Set quality assurance standards in design.
  • Grow, develop, and manage coastal engineering capability within the practice.

What You Can Bring:

  • Chartered Civil Engineer.
  • Experience in owning design delivery, including multidisciplinary design.
  • Comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of coastal engineering analysis and design in the UK and overseas.
  • The ability to work with clients around the world to develop solutions that meet their requirements.
  • Promoting technical excellence, best practice, sustainability, net zero, and digital innovation.
  • Mentoring and developing junior staff.
