About the Role:

POWER Engineers is seeking a dedicated and ambitious civil/structural engineering student for a co-op or internship in the Power Delivery Overhead Line Department in Trussville, Alabama. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, develop your skills, and contribute to the company's mission.

Key Responsibilities:

Under the guidance of experienced engineers, you will be involved in transmission line design, including overhead transmission line and substation structures, wire systems, foundations, and related facilities. You will also perform basic engineering calculations as it pertains to distribution design.

Requirements:

To be considered for this position, you must have a pursuit of a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university, excellent verbal and written communication skills, computer literacy, and the ability to learn new software efficiently. Ideal coursework includes structural analysis, concrete, steel, soils, foundations, and surveying, and prior internship and/or related engineering experience is a plus.
