Job Title: Highway Infrastructure Design Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Highway Infrastructure Design Specialist to join our team in Birmingham. As a key member of our Infrastructure team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of projects safely, efficiently, and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

* Work on development infrastructure projects from feasibility through to detailed design, including highway design and drainage design
* Prepare designs and drawings from concept through to detailed design, as well as technical reports on various projects of varying scale
* Collaborate with a team to deliver projects, ensuring compliance with design principles and statutory authority approvals

Requirements:

* Demonstrated Civil Engineering experience within a consultancy environment
* Knowledge and experience of delivering highway & drainage design, including S278/38 Approval process
* Experience of highway technical design on major or minor projects, including an understanding of design principles and the ability to practically apply them
* Knowledge and use of DMRB, MCHW, MfS, TSM, Local Authority guides, etc. and their applications
* IT literate with experience of AutoCAD/Civil3D or other road design packages to design and detail highway and drainage infrastructure
