Duties and Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will write, edit, and publish content daily across all BusinessTrends websites. Key responsibilities include:

  • Researching prospective interviewees for the Editor to interview.
  • Assisting with research for GovCon events.
  • Identifying hot topics in government and GovCon to help define topics for BusinessTrends events.
  • Helping to identify speakers for said events.
  • Writing blurbs on BusinessTrends websites about the company's events.

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of experience in News Writing or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree in journalism or communications.
  • Experience working in AP Style.
  • Ability to research, identify, and compile lists of qualified speakers for BusinessTrends GovCon events.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A desire to go beyond the call of duty to produce high-quality content.
  • Familiarity with WordPress, SEO, and Social Media a plus.
