Job Summary:

GBR Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Construction Engineering Project Manager to lead the delivery of bespoke Construction projects across various end-user sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction steelwork installation projects and be adept in both operational and maintenance construction activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage a skilled team of construction project engineers, construction project delivery site managers, and skilled construction trade installation teams as required.
  2. Support the construction sales team with accurate scoping of works and costing of build projects.
  3. Liaise with end-users to ensure quality customer service.
  4. Produce building layout drawings using AutoCAD or other in-house design software.
  5. Liaise with the procurement team for raw materials, 3rd party services, and plant hire.
  6. Effectively manage build team resources to ensure build plans are delivered OTIF to the desired quality.
  7. Deliver projects safely, to a high-quality finish, and in line with customer expectations and needs.
  8. Manage issues and remedy them to ensure project delivery timescales are achieved.
  9. Ensure building standards governance and compliance are adhered to.
  10. Complete project health reviews and implement corrective action.
  11. Support and complete post-implementation project reviews, integrating lessons learned into future project delivery.
  12. Support the building maintenance function when required.
  13. Proactively engage in SHE performance and SHE behaviors of internal project delivery teams and contractors involved in any project on-site to continuously improve safety practices and standards.
  14. Manage risk assessments and methods statements as required.
  15. Responsible for construction sites housekeeping and safety standards.
Requirements:
  1. Proven construction engineering leadership skills with the ability to influence others to deliver projects OTIF to a high-quality finish.
  2. Strong structural experience in steelworks, groundwork preparation, load calculations, and building footprint.
  3. Strong construction project experience in engineering and project delivery.
  4. Excellent project planning and scheduling skills to achieve set targets.
  5. Degree or equivalent in construction/engineering or other.
  6. Happy to travel UK-wide when needed.
