Senior Controls Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Controls Engineer to join Stirling Warrington in the pastry and savoury products industry.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant engineering degree and previous experience in a similar role, preferably in automation environments.

About the Role
  • Modify or initiate workarounds on PLC code for hardware faults, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance.
  • Analyse data to improve MHE performance, providing actionable insights for continuous improvement projects.
  • Create and maintain electrical schematics, layout drawings, wiring diagrams, wire harnesses, and BOMs for electrical panels, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
  • Document SOPs, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records, facilitating knowledge transfer and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Relevant engineering degree.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, ideally in automation environments.
  • Hands-on experience with automation hardware and software, including Siemens HMI systems and PLC control system architecture.
  • Ability to optimise processes for cost savings, productivity increases, and cycle time reductions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and continuous improvement project experience.

The estimated salary for this role is based on the job title, location, and requirements. We offer a competitive salary of up to £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
