About the Role

Sportswear Design Expertise

Zachary Daniels is seeking a highly skilled Senior Sportswear Designer to join the design team of a leading Sportswear brand. As a Senior Sportswear Designer, you will be responsible for designing high-quality athleisure and performance apparel collections across both menswear and womenswear.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Conduct in-depth research to develop new and exciting multi-product ranges, identifying emerging trends and presenting product ranges and new concepts to the wider team.
  2. Research and source the latest fabrics, trims, and materials, ensuring they meet the brand's high standards.
  3. Collaborate closely with the garment tech and buying teams, as well as external suppliers, to ensure seamless product development.
  4. Present product ranges and new concepts to the wider team, utilizing excellent communication and presentation skills.
  5. Work closely with the Head of Design to develop and implement design strategies that align with the brand's vision.

Requirements

  • Previous sports apparel design experience working for a premium sportswear, high street, or lifestyle brand at an established level.
  • Strong understanding of technical performance fabric and trims, product development, and experience working with external suppliers and Far East factories.
  • Excellent communication (written & verbal) and analytical skills, with advanced technical fabric and trims knowledge.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Knowledge of garment construction and managing the product development process.
