About the Role

The Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled Specialist Community Public Health Nurse to join their Healthy Together School Nursing Team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality healthcare services to children and young people aged 5-11.

Responsibilities include assessing health and social needs, providing professional nursing leadership, and promoting positive health and wellbeing. The ideal candidate will have a warm, respectful, and compassionate approach to delivering a flexible and responsive service.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • To contribute to care, quality, performance, and clinical activity by providing professional nursing leadership and guidance.
  • To holistically assess the health and social needs of individuals, groups, and communities.
  • To recognise indicators of abuse and initiate safeguarding measures.
  • To promote positive health and wellbeing by identifying evolving health needs and situations hazardous to health.
