Educational Support Worker

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Mental Health Assistant to join our team at our SEMH school in Kidlington. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting children aged 5-16 who require consistent care and child-centered attention. Your primary responsibilities will include working alongside therapists and psychologists to provide mental health support, collaborating with teachers to develop personalized learning plans, and engaging with parents to ensure seamless communication and progress updates.
Key Responsibilities:
- • Collaborate with therapy teams to deliver mental health support and interventions tailored to individual student needs
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to promote a supportive school environment
• Assist teachers in creating and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) that cater to students' unique needs and abilities
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in mental health support and special education
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you should possess a passion for supporting children with complex needs, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to ongoing learning and development. While prior experience in a similar setting is desirable, we welcome applications from enthusiastic graduates or individuals looking to transition into a rewarding career in education and mental health.
