Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our Early Years team at Cross in Hand School. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with additional needs, ensuring they have access to the full curriculum and can integrate with their peers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support children with additional needs in a one-to-one setting, assessing and monitoring their progress
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans
  • Assist with classroom activities, providing additional support and encouragement to students as needed
  • Accompany students on educational visits and outings, promoting their social and emotional development
  • Attend meetings with parents, other professionals, and lead staff members to discuss student progress and develop strategies for support
  • Contribute to the sharing of good practice, ensuring that students have access to the full curriculum and can integrate with their peers
Requirements:
  • Good communication and behavior management skills
  • Experience working with children with additional needs, preferably in an Early Years setting
  • Ability to work flexibly as part of a team, supporting students both inside and outside the classroom
  • Enthusiasm, organization, patience, and compassion
