Electrical Engineer Commissioning and Maintenance Specialist

At Get Staffed Online Recruitment, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer Commissioning and Maintenance professional to join our client's team. As a key member of the production team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality electrical engineering services, including commissioning and maintenance of production facilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the Maintenance Manager in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of production plant and equipment.
- Perform day-to-day plant upkeeping, including reactive and preventive maintenance, and support new and existing pilot plant work.
- Undertake reconditioning of plant equipment and support the development and implementation of new production equipment.
- Assist the Maintenance Manager, Chemical Engineers, and Senior Control Systems Engineer with new electrical/mechanical engineering developments and implementation.
- Be responsible for preventative, reactive, and scheduled maintenance regimes of plant equipment and electrical maintenance across the site.
- Independently manage minor and medium-size electrical/mechanical engineering projects as required and to budget.
- Ensure the efficient and safe operation of production plant and equipment, including production process troubleshooting.
- Identify electrical/mechanical improvements with a strong focus on safety and execute electrical and mechanical improvement projects from start to finish.
- Review and implement risk assessments and supervise contractors and other personnel on specific jobs and tasks.
- Report and action on Health and Safety, Environmental, and Quality related faults, failures, and non-conformances.
- Hold a minimum Level 5 NVQ or higher in Electrical Installations and 18th edition qualified.
- Have at least 1-year electrical installations experience.
- Knowledge of Industrial process and controls (415/240V system, low voltage control circuits), PLC systems, and fault finding, and HV/LV distribution system.
- Knowledge of metal fabrication techniques, welding processes (TiG & MiG), and brazing.
- Knowledge of chiller units/Compressed air systems.
- IOSH Confined space trained and Forklift MEWP.
