Medical Specialty Doctor Position in Emergency Medicine

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Specialty Doctor to join our team in the Emergency Department at Morriston Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced doctor to take on a challenging role and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for participating in a full shift 24/7 rota, working closely with more experienced doctors to provide support to junior grades. The post holder will be clinically responsible for diagnosing, supervising, and managing patients attending the ED, providing initial treatment and assessment of adult and pediatric patients presenting with illness or injury.
Dedicated weekly SPA time will be provided, allowing the doctor to pursue specialty training requirements. The appointment is subject to national medical and dental terms and conditions of service.
Responsibilities- To work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care
- To participate in a full shift 24/7 rota, providing support to junior grades
- To be clinically responsible for diagnosing, supervising, and managing patients attending the ED
- To provide initial treatment and assessment of adult and pediatric patients presenting with illness or injury
We are looking for a doctor with:
- Full GMC Registration with license to practice
- MB BS or recognized equivalent
- 48 months postgraduate experience, including 12 months emergency medicine equivalent to UK practice, or evidence of ST3 EM competencies
- Provider status in ALS/ATLS/EPLS
