Electrical Design Engineer - Building Services Specialist

About the Role:
Our client is a leading multidisciplinary consultancy, specializing in construction, property, and infrastructure. With a rich history spanning decades, they are committed to delivering innovative solutions and exceptional service to clients across various sectors, including Commercial, Industrial, Government Buildings, and more.

Job Overview:
As an integral part of the Building Services team, you will be responsible for the design and development of electrical systems for large commercial and industrial buildings, including new builds and refurbishments. Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Undertaking detailed electrical design work for building services projects, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  2. Preparing technical specifications, drawings, and schedules in accordance with project requirements and client objectives.
  3. Collaborating with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop integrated design solutions.
  4. Conducting feasibility studies and site surveys to assess project requirements and constraints.
  5. Providing technical support and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, from concept design to construction and commissioning.
  6. Participating in meetings with clients, contractors, and suppliers to discuss project specifications and progress.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  2. Proven experience in electrical design engineering within the building services sector.
  3. Proficiency in relevant design software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and electrical design tools.
  4. Sound knowledge of building regulations, codes, and standards.
