Job Title: Associate Director (Planning)

Company Overview:
DCT Recruitment is a leading recruitment agency specializing in the placement of experienced professionals in the planning and development industry. Our client, a dynamic planning consultancy, is seeking an Associate Director to play a crucial role in the establishment of their new office in Manchester.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop a comprehensive plan for the establishment of the new office, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Identify and assess potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Oversee the selection and fit-out of office premises, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with TI and facilities teams to ensure the office is equipped with necessary technology and infrastructure.
• Liaise with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for the new office setup.
• Represent the company at local events and build relationships with local business communities and networks.
• Ensure all operations comply with local laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Provide regular updates to the Board of Directors on progress, challenges, and opportunities.
• Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of key personnel for the new office.
• Foster a positive and collaborative office culture that aligns with the company's values and mission.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of the new office.
• Provide strategic insights and recommendations to continuously improve operations and performance.

Requirements:
• Proven experience in a senior leadership role, preferably with experience in setting up new offices or operational units.
• Strong strategic planning and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
• In-depth knowledge of the local business environment in Manchester.
• Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.

Preferred Qualifications:
MRTPI and previous experience in a non-executive role.
