The successful candidate will have experience in a fast-paced cafe or restaurant environment, with a strong background in baking and cooking. Excellent time management skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards in food quality and kitchen operations are essential for this role.

Duties will include:
  1. Preparing and baking a variety of baked goods daily, including bread, pastries, and cakes.
  2. Overseeing kitchen operations during service, ensuring food quality and presentation meet our cafe standards.
  3. Training and mentoring junior kitchen staff, providing guidance on cooking techniques and kitchen operations.
  4. Monitoring inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, ensuring stock is always sufficient for daily operations.
  5. Managing waste and controlling food costs by minimizing spoilage and optimizing ingredient usage.

Required skills and qualifications include experience in a high-paced cafe or restaurant environment, ability to work early morning shifts, and knowledge of kitchen health and safety regulations.
