We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team in a Pupil Referral Unit in North London. This exciting role involves working with students who require additional support due to emotional behavioural difficulties, including those with social emotional mental health (SEMH) challenges.

In this role, you will work closely with teachers, other teaching assistants, and school staff to provide tailored support to students across all ages. You will need to be flexible, patient, and able to communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents.

The ideal candidate will have recent experience working with children with emotional behavioural disorders (EBD), SEMH, and other challenging behaviours. They will possess excellent organisational and time management skills, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEMH and EBD
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons to meet the needs of students
  • Monitor student progress and report any concerns to teachers and senior staff
  • Participate in whole-school events and activities to promote student well-being
