Job Title: Commercial Health Advisor

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Health Advisor to join our team at JRL OHS. As a key member of our occupational health service, you will provide high-quality health surveillance and advisory services to clients across the UK.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational health nursing, with experience in health surveillance, case management, and health and safety regulations. A full training program will be provided for the right candidate.

The role involves a mix of office-based and remote working, with regular travel to client sites. You will be responsible for undertaking health surveillance, pre-placement assessments, fitness for work medicals, and other occupational health services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Health Surveillance with travel to client sites
  • Pre-placement assessments

  • Vaccinations
  • Management referrals
  • Telephone and video assessments
Requirements:
  • Experience in Occupational Health preferred
  • Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health preferred
  • Strong report writing skills
  • The ability to carry out health screening including audiometry, spirometry, general medicals, and drug & alcohol screening
  • Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration
  • Post-registration qualification in Occupational Health Nursing preferred, although a disability assessor would be considered
  • Knowledge of UK health and safety regulations and legislation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Compliance with GDPR
  • Driving licence and access to own vehicle
