CNC Programmer/Operator Job Description

Major Recruitment Oldham Industrial is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer/Operator to join our team in the Wythenshawe area. As a CNC Programmer/Operator, you will be responsible for programming and operating 5-axis routers, ensuring high-quality production and adhering to company standards and health and safety policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Program and operate 5-axis routers, including Thermwood, with minimal training.
  2. Review drawings, technical data, and product development requirements to ensure effective machining and production engineering standards.
  3. Maintain the workshop and machinery to a safe standard, adhering to company EH&S policies and procedures.
  4. Produce high-quality seat plastics components through various processes, including injection moulding, scraping, tool making, vacuum forming, trimming, gluing, and assembly.
  5. Assist in stock control, stores, inspection, part marking, and packaging.
  6. Attend training programs associated with client aircraft approvals.
  7. Work overtime during busy periods and adapt to changing shift patterns, including night shifts.
  8. Adhere to all client health and safety policies and procedures.
  9. Drive company vehicles for collection and delivery as required.
Requirements:
  1. Proficiency in programming and teaching 5-axis routers with minimal training.
  2. Competence and proficiency in the use of all workshop machinery through company training programs.
  3. Flexibility in working hours and willingness to work overtime during busy periods.
  4. Flexibility in shift patterns, including night shifts.
