Job Description

Job Title: Commissioning Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Engineer to join our team at Schneider Electric. As a Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient installation and commissioning of our building management control systems in the Midlands area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pre-Commissioning: Ensure that control panels and field devices are properly configured and tested before commissioning.
  • Commissioning: Commission controllers, networks, and field devices into a complete control system, ensuring that all systems are functioning as designed.
  • Integration: Integrate third-party systems onto existing systems, ensuring seamless operation and minimal disruption to customers.
  • Software Development: Develop and commission controller software through to the Graphical User Interface, ensuring that all software meets the required standards.
  • Handover and Demonstration: Hand over and demonstrate the completed system to customers and consultants, ensuring that they are satisfied with the installation and commissioning.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Experience in a similar role would be advantageous, but on-the-job training will be provided.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of the principles of controls for HVAC is essential.
  • Customer Focus: Experience of working in a customer-focused environment is required.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Education: Background in electrical engineering or a related subject is advantageous.
